tire question for prairie700

I would strongly recommend installing the black spring(secondary spring). It will lessen belt /clutch wear. If you buy a new P-700, I would wait until you had @100-200 miles before installing the spring, and adjusting belt tension(belt break-in). As to difficulty of the job. The first time will be the "learning curve" session, it'll take you @2 hrs. After that, you will be able to do a belt adjustment in 45 min, or less, with a little experience.
Someone in here MAY be able to provide tips and instructions from NYROC'S former 650 site. You'll need a special compresser tool, that you can make yourself. Sorry, I don't have them in a file. I learned all this stuff 1 1/2 yrs. ago!
DO get a factory manual. Try Ron Ayers, he should have them the cheapest.

Praire 700,if looking for fair prices on aftermarket stuff for your new ATV,check out Rocky Mtn.ATV...go to their web site and request a catalog....the new catalog is chock full of goodies,Dennis Kirk is another good choice.

Ronayers.com certainly seems to be the cheapest spot for kawasaki parts and I look them up on buykawasaki.com. For tech tips take a look at atvpower.com. that is where people are trying to build a replacment for NYROC's site.

I have only ridden them down the street and they were smoother than the stock dunlops. They were a little rough at real slow speeds but as soon as you got moving it was nice and smooth. I hope to ride off road this weekend but some snow is coming to town so who knows if I'll be able to get to any decent trails or if it will be too cold.
The main reason I got the mud lites over others is it looked like it would have a smooth ride due to the center tread design.
