Installing new Axle on V Force
Questions:
1) What parts do I need to change the axle. I ordered a durablue from RMATV. Do I need seals, gaskets, o-rings, bearings, etc.....?
2) Anyone know any tricks or pitfalls involved in doing this job?
Thanks in advance for any help. I have never done this before.

I rolled my V Force down a very very steep hill during the Ironman GNCC last month. Ask anyone who was there how steep the hill was. Probably rolled 40 to 50 feet down the hill and the V Force bounced and landed on the right rear wheel bending the stock axle.
I am getting the standard lenght axle. I do not want the V Force to be any wider because it is already hard to manuever through tight trails as it is and the stability is fantastic stock.
The reason for going with the durablue is the warranty. If you damage the axle they will give you a new one free the first time. After that, they sell you them for just above cost, which is over a hundred bucks less than the "new" purchase price. Hard to beat this deal.

I replaced my axel on my Prairie, I think V has same rear end, in June(bent when went down hill by itself, long story). Anyways, when I ordered axel from kawi it came with bearing,I believe its pressed on. I repalced the seals on the left side only. I couldnt find part# for right side. But the service manual was very helpfull and was a fairly simple job. I probably could have gotten away without replacing seals at all but my prairie spends alot of time in mud so I figured while I was there I might as well, but no leaks so far.
