Ok for what its worth..My daughter is 8 and very aggresive with her 90cc extreme atv which supposedly has a 90cc yamaha engine in it..It does have Elec start lights aggressive tires and suspention seems ok.Floorboards are nice size for little tikes. Also has a teather kill leash that is about 5 ft long so you can train the little ones. The one feature I really like is that it has goven on throttle...I know alot of these other machines come with these features .I checked them all out and this was IMO the best purchase ..She has been ridding it everyday for 7 months with no probs. The two things I did notice is brakes seem to sk-weak alot but stop her very well ,so Ill deal with noise and does have a little shake in handle bars but that could be due to my wieght....So for 1500 dollars I thought I did right thing...Oh yeah with my 200 pound body on it I had it doin 36mph...Not bad huh I plan on getting my 6 year old one also ...

Great replies guys. I took my daughter to look at the predator today and she completely loved it. We did go look at the LT 80, Honda 90, and E-ton viper. She acts like she will be disappointed with anything besides the predator. The E-ton appears to be basically the same machine, just not quite as flashy. I did see the raptor 80. It looks very nice and is four-stroke electric start, but not fully auto.......decisions......dicisions Polaris and Kawi have the best financing at 3.9%.

I bought my kids a Pred. 90 and they love it..........and so do I for that matter. As she gets better with it you can take off the jumper on the electronic speed controller and it's like a totally new machine. You can still limit the throttle with the throttle screw until you feel she's OK with more speed. It really moves out even with my 175 lb butt on it.

Let her drive an LT80 and try the rest; she will probably go back to the LT80. It's very easy to drive. The rest of the companies that build mini-quads should take a course on how to build a clutch system from the company that builds the little Zuki.

I was starting to get skeered when he was considering the 160 for his "8" year old

Just brought the new predator home... Can't wait until Christmas morning. When she opens that box with the keys in it, I had better have the old antique RCA camcorder on my shoulder I might have to mail that one in

bigcreek1, your daughter is going to love it.....my kids did. My oldest is 9 and he does pretty good with it. My 7 year old daughter would be attempting 20 foot tabletops if I let her...very aggressive rider. Good luck on Christmas. Only thing better than getting an ATV for yourself is surprising your kids with one.

I'm glad you figured out what you wanted. The little predators are pretty nice. Just for the sake of it though, my son has a KFX80, and he loves it. It will haul my 220lb butt around the yard no problem. So you can imagine what it does with his 40 lbs. It is pretty easy for me to wheelie without the restrictors. Kawi's are also very dependable.
