Default spark plug

If you want to read the plug on the 650. How do you go about checking it? Ive read alot about jetting and reading the plugs colors, but when is the best time to pull the plug and check it. Thanks

I'am not sure if you guy understand what iam asking. I read somewhere that if i checked the at idle for some time that that would give me a false reading. That i should ride it down the road a bit then check the plug. At what phase will the plug reading be correct. Thanks!

I wouldn't run down the road then check your plug when I check mine I run it good and let it sit until it's cool. Since the plugs are so hard to get at I don't check mine frequently. the front one is easy the back one is hard. I feel letting a 650 just idle is hard on your plugs. I tell if my jetting is off by the feel of acceration and listening to the bike.

Run wot for as long as you can [30sec will do] then hit the killswitch without letting off come to a stop with the bike not running pull plugs and check them. this if for the main jet
