You are correct about the plastic, it is not as flexable as the green or orange. It looks great though. I have seen 2 sets raced in the GNCCs and both were cracked after the event. HMF is the way to go for your dual system. Good luck

I have the matrix carbon and the plastic is brittle (you might know this but it's not carbon fiber, it's just a carbon fiber looking plastic, it's just more brittle than the regular ATV plastic). If you buy it, you will break it, and it will cost about 800 bucks to replace front and rear fenders (more than twice as much as the green or orange)

Where to ride in LA? No way you don't have to go to Pismo or Lancaster. You can shoot right up the road to Hungry Valley, or go over to San Gabriel Canyon OHV north of Azusa, or you can shoot east to El Mirage Dry Lake.

They deal on them. In the LA area my informal survey leads me to believe you should pay about 6500 out the door for an orange or green, maybe 6700 out the door for a limited edition matrix carbon or lava red. If you do better than that you are doing OK. In other words your target is about 500 less than MSRP.

See you in the dirt.

Sweet thanks for the info guys... i'll look into those areas... I haven't seen the lava red one (sounds sweet though) I'm gonna roll over to the Simi Valley store tonight and see what they have.. The other store I went to just had the orange and green. They sold the black one they had. If you're in socal too I'll see you in the dirt.. can't miss my truck it's a big yellow avalanche LoL... I still need to figure the best way to fit the 700 in the back<shrug>.

Anyway, thanks again.

Peace

Dont forget there is some great mtn riding near lake arrowhead....you will have to check first with the rangers. With the recent fires some areas are closed for now.

The lava red fenders are the stiff type of plastic not the soft bendable type.
