Need some thoughts on my V, lost power..
#1
I was out last night on the ice track and was doing some laps on the circle track when all of the sudden it started to lost power and went down to one cilinder, ran like crap and so I loaded it up in the trailer. took it home and put it in the garage. Started it up and it seemed to run fine. One thing I noticed there was lots of snow dust in the air and this is the first time Ive ran the V with the hood vents open. So im thinking I my have sucked some snow down her. I think the snow in the carbs melted after a while and started to run better. Any thoughts?

Yes you could of sucked some snow in the carbs which caused them to ice up .
Did you remove the anthifrezze hoses that connect to your carbs to heat them if so I would suggest you put them back on .

No I did not remove those hoses, I let it idel on the trailer for a few minutes trying to listen to the motor, so maybe the ice melted out of the carbs? could be. I went out to the garage and taped up the vents on the front with black tape. I'll go out tommoro and see if it runs good out at the track.

I'm not very familair with the v force's air filter system but if you made some modifacations like cutting your hoods vents and letting more air in it can also attract snow which causes your carbs to freeze up for a few minutes .
