Default Red Hot Exhaust

I just installed the HMF dual exhaust on my kfx 700 and was checking out my top speed. I Ran it wide open for about 3 minutes and when I got to looking I noticed that inside of the exhuast was cherry red and it took about a minute or so for the redness to go away. I was wondering if this is normal. Any info would be appreciated.
