I spoke to Wesley @ procomengineering just minutes after biggerisbetters post. He claims he designed the cdi. I asked repeatedly if this changes the timing and he says it does. It is not programmable. I asked for dyno results and he said that they are testing it now. The results should be available in 2 weeks (where have we heard that before?)as will the cdi. He stated a price of $99.00 plus shipping. He was happy he could offer a cdi for $99.00 as opposed to a stock one for $300.00 plus. I will make contact again in 2 weeks and let you know. I also inquired on the rectifier upgrade and this is how he says it works. When the battery has reached 95% charge, the unit will cut the current to the charging coils. That is suppose to free up hp by reducing the drag. I failed to get a price on this unit. He claims 8%hp increase. I hope this info helps. I check daily for any v700 cdi info on various forums(I really NEED it). Thanks for the post biggerisbetter.

I am curious about this rectifier system cdi thingy. Is a rectifier not a capacitor, if so it has to have a rectifier or capacitor to work on the Kawi because the coils will not operate at less than 200V. Once the battery is up to %95 capacity what a load where can I find a shovel. Soon as you try to start your quad the battery is dropped down to less %60 so how can the quad start if the battery is low. I think someone is having a good laugh and for $100 go figger. I can tell you I would not be the first to try it out. I am not saying it is impossible just I will not be the first to send any money!!!!!
