Default P700 noise

What is that gear/servo/noise the P700 makes when you shut off the switch??

Why does it do it at random times while in gear??

What the heck is that thing....?

the noise you hear at shut off is the belt check servo. It checks the belt to adjust for wear.

The random noise is probly the KEB working (engine braking).

Alls normal and if the belt starts flshing its telling your belts wore. Unless it flashes fast about 2 or 3 times a sec. thats a computer fail and you will only rev to about 2500 rpms

Belt check servo, huh. I assumed all was OK, just curious.

The KEBC noises all seemed normal, but on my first ride on this machine, I had these rather obvious questions.

I'll be getting the manual soon and figure that will answer a lot of questions too.

Thanks for the reply.

And can't wait to ride it again.
