Default Sportsman700 or P700?

I am looking to buy a new 4x4 it will be my first 4x4 quad. I have it narrowed down to an sp600 sp700 and a p700.
So I am basicly asking is the kawi effected much by not having irs and having less ground clearence?
How smooth of a ride is a p700 in rough rocky trails? Ride quality is a must in by book. How is the p700 on fuel?

thankyou for your help. I just don't want to spend all that money for something I 'm not gonna be happy with. I want a smooth ride.
I have a pred and it is waaaaaaaaaay to rough. I'm hurtin after riding that thing. Its an awsome handling quad its fast its got power but it is too rough at slow speeds.

IF ride quality is the only thing that matters you should probably buy a Rincon. Sit on a Grizzly and measure ground clearance. There won't be much difference from a P700. fuel mileage is about 65-75 miles on a tank full (approx. 5 gal). I love my Prairie but if the Rincon had a V-twin I would probably buy one. You just can't beat the V-twin.

I have a P-700 and the ground clearance issue that all these IRS people bring up never affect's me. I can go through mudholes that the IRS bikes can't. Personally, I will Never buy another polaris as long as I live. If you want a very smooth ride and a quick bike, the Rincon is the best. If you want more power and a more fun to ride machine, the P-700 is for you.

If power is what you want, the 700prairie is it. It has the most power and torque of any quad. If ride is what you want, the 700 prairie is great too. I have one with a lift and 28" 589 ITP tires and and it rides great and can go anywhere. The rincon probably has the best ride along with the griz. The polaris 700 has a great ride too, but the weight comes into play if you get it stuck and the reliablilty of a polaris is questionable. Check out the history trend of atv's at comsumer report. Good luck.

Buy a polaris if you want to keep it in the shop. P 700 all the way.

I have riden all three machines and if you look at my username you will see which I like the best. As the others stated you cannot beat the prairie on all out power, it simply isn't possible!!! The suspension is very reliable (less moving parts = more reliablity simple rule of life) it is very I feel after all day riding/hunting. Just release some of the tension in the back and it is very squishy/comfortable. If you are going fast and on rough terrain tighten it up and stand up some. I ride usually 80 to 100 miles a day on trail rides and don't regret one minute about owning the prairie's. I can get about 70-85 on a tank in the mountains of utah 5000-11000 feet elevation jetted for 1000 feet so it is running rather rich. Which should hurt my mileage and I get slightly better in Missouri. These bikes are the best around I feel it is very proven design and very powerful machine you will not be disappointed if you buy it. But get rid of the dunlops and get 589 m/s or similar they make a world of difference in mud riding. Like someone else said sit on the irs macines and not much difference in ground clearence. Then throw on animal if you hunt and your grnd clrnc goes to 6 inces do the same on a prairie and it stays the same. Just food for thought and my opinions. Hope they helped.

BEING A X-SPORTSMAN 700 OWNER I CAN SAY THAT YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS, AND LOTS OF THEM.
MINE USED TO STAY IN THE SHOP, WAS EASY TO DROWN OUT IN WATER, BELT WAS ALSO EASY TOGET WET AND SLIP. FACTORY WARRANTY FROM POLLARIS SUCKED.

I AM NOW A PROUD OWNER OF A KAWI AND NO PROBLEMS WITH MACHINE OR WARRANTY

I DO ALSO HAVE TWO FRIENDS WITH RINCONS AND THEY LOVE THEM TOO.
