Default NOS on a KFX 400?

I am thinking about getting NOS on my kfx 463 and was wondering if anyone else has done this yet. I sent boondockers an e-mail and they are supposed to contact me about price and hp increase. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

i'm sure it will increase your power tremendously, but it will also wear your engine out quicker than ever. Plus i would like to add that if you don't know how to use nitrous correctly it will blow your engine apart. this is just what i heard from people that race cars with NOS, i'm not sure if nitrous for atv's is easier to use or it might just be a tiny shot of it. i'm sure it's not going to be direct port NOS.

I went to www.boondockers.com and they had pics of a kfx 400 with a nitrous bottle on it. The nos is injected thru the airbox and boondockers claims that there is no significant wear and tear on the engine. I have spoken with some buddies who also believe I will have a higher chance of blowing my engine. I have some motor work already. My bike is a 463cc from 4-stroke tech, port and polished, 39mm carb and a dynatek ignitionbox that allows it to rev to the moon. Also, a k & n pro design air filter. I sent an e-mail to boondockers about these mods but they have not replied yet. I will call them Monday. I was just wondering if anybody else has attempted to do this.

I have never used NOS. I was under the impression that most race cars that run NOS install a forged piston to prevent the engine from falling apart. Installing a forged piston might also be a good idea for the KFX 400 (assuming they make one for that quad). Its just an idea.

Happy trails...

Boondockers doesn't answer there e-mail. I e-mailed them for some info a long time ago and I never herd anything from them, they suck!
