Default Mud Tires for '02 Prairie

Hey Ya'll,

i got a '02 prairie 650 and about to get new mud tires. i'm gettin' the Highlifter Outlaws. but i'm wondering. i know i need to get spacers for it i'm gettin' 27-9.5-12 up front and 27-12-12 in the rears. i want to put them on the stock rims. i hear it will fit, but i want want to make sure from you guys the riders. also, is it possible to put 28's on the bike without a lift kit? Thanks for the information

My brother in law has a 2002 650 that he put 27X10X12 up front, and 27X12X12 on the rear, Kenda Bear Claws, on stock rims, no lift or anything and he hasn't had any problems with rubbing.

The 27" X 12" Outlaw rears will rub on the gas tank shield, unless mounted on a wheel with 1" wider offset ( like ITP C series ), or unless 1" wheel spacers are used in the rear... the fronts will be fine... FYI, any 12" + wide tire on the rears, that have lugs that wrap around the sidewall of the tire, will rub the gas tank shield... 25" X 12" Outlaws may only rub in off camber situations or when landing from jumps... I'd highly reccomend the C series wheels, over the wheel spacers, since they would be nearly the same...
