v valve check

Default v valve check

getting ready to check clearances, any hints or tips?Is it a pretty simple adjustment? I'll have a service manual but just wanted to hear some tips from someone who's done this to there prairie or force. thanks

Took mine to the dealer at 700 milels be cause of belt too loose from factory.Told them to adjust valves while their.They adjusted them & I dont think I need to do it again for a long time.Runs like a bandit.Good luck Bushog

Also my carb Idle adjustment was off bad.At least 2.5 turns out.Probly 3.Nyroc's info is on to help you.P650's have to be adjusted.Mine runs like a savege.Kawie's have always dominated since the70s. Good Luck Brushog

Default v valve check

I imagine that it will be MUCH easier on a V-Force (than a Prairie) to get at the heads. Not a much body work, etc. Just follow the service manual, you can't go wrong. You may want to buy a feeler guage just for the V-Force ,as you probably will want to "custom" bend the feeler blade, to get them in to the valve covers.
