Default New P700, running rough

Hello all, I just picked up my P700. I only have about 8 hours on it and I'm still just putting around for the most part untill the break-in period is over. This machine will start fine, run fine for a awhile, then it will start cutting out at about 1/3 throttle, it won't idle at this point either. I know there are a lot of things this could be, just thought it might something common enough I can address before I have to haul it back into town. Thanks. Rob

Sounds like mine when it is cold. They need lots of warm up time.

Default New P700, running rough

When I first got my P700 it ran fine for the first couple of hours, then started to run really rough, as if it were firing on only one cylinder. The next day it ran out of gas - from a full tank, I got 26 miles total. I took it back in and they changed out the plugs, cleaned out the tank, and all the other normal stuff. I went out again and went thru most of a tank in less than 15 miles. Back to the shop again, same stuff again, back out and half a tank for 12 more miles!
When I threatened to invoke the lemon law, they agreed that it must have been jetted wrong, so they agreed to re-jet it. When they busted it down, they found that the choke return spring wasn't installed correctly, which caused the choke to never open completely, essentially keeping the choke halfway engaged all the time. This would foul the plugs to the point that the gas was just pouring thru one cylinder. I can provide more details if this sounds like your problem!!
Problem is, although it now runs great, I'm still a little gun shy about how many miles I can get out of a full tank at normal operating speeds. Anyone have any ideas?
