I don't know if the needle position has to be changed but i have always found that a dyno jet kit is well worth the money. the advice they give you also is backed by alot of research a far as what jets to use for what mods. but i don't know if they have one for the prairie 700 yet?

Raptor,
Hate to burst your bubble but Dyno Jet jets suck. The largest jet is smaller than the OEM stock jets that come with the quad I have said this many times in the past. If anyone wants I have DJ jet set for sale. The only thing that is half decent in the package is the needles to allow for setting the mid range fuel flow. The same thing can be obtained by putting washers on top of the OEM needle a lot less expensive than the DJ kit. You can buy a complete set of OEM jets for a fraction of the cost of the DJ kit. The DJ system needs to be updated considerably definitely not worth the $100.

bandit33--- BACK to your original question. The 1st service is just a glorified oil service. Change ALL the lubricants, change oil filter, check brake adj. (rear), check brake fluid level, look at air filter(clean as needed), check for coolant and oil leaks, and kick the tires! No valve adjustment is called out in the factory service manual at this time. You can do this service yourself for about $25.00 worth of oils, and filter. If you are gonna do your own work, I recommend buying the Factory Service Manual($40 or so). Save ALL your parts receipts, just in case you have a warranty issue.

Raptor,
Just for the heck of it physicaly check the size of openings in the DJ jet kit then check the openings in the OEM jets then get back to me.
Most people want to jet up because they have modded their muffler, intake, the basic modding stuff. If you want to rejet because the bike is running rich from factory and the elivation determines this. Yes you can use the DJ system because they are a less flowing system which is better for a quad that has no MODDS only because the quad is set from factory with a rich setting. How many quad owners change their jets because they are running a stock set up...........?

I am relatively new to ATV's and jetting, but I have witnessed for myself and seen other discussions stating that since the DJ needles are smaller than stock the overall opening for fuel flow is the same as the larger stock jets and needles. Like I said though....I am new to this stuff and might be overlooking something.
