Default coolant heated carbs on kfx 700

Has anyone removed the tubbing which takes coolant to the carbs to heat them. does this make any noticeable horsepower gains, how difficult is it, and do you recommend doing this. i ride primarily when its warm because i hate the snow but i do ride at a indoor mx track during winter.

Hello brichey831 and welcome to the sanitarium!

Yes, I have removed the coolant lines from the carbs. It's very easy. There are 2 rubber lines. One brings coolant to the carbs and the other is an exit line. Connect the 2 together using a straight line connector. Make sure you cap off the plastic lines sticking out of the carbs so no dirt or anything else gets inside. As far as wether it gives you any gains, if it does, it's very minimal but every bit can help. Good luck!
