ok i always thought it would be cool *rolls eyes lol* to put a radio in my 4-wheeler.. now dont start laughing like a monkey on crack.. im serious.. like put a big alternator and a car battery and hook up some nice speakers and small subs.. like on the front and rear racks.. and maby some neon (detachable ofcourse..) would the even be possible? it would be sweet on the prarie(lots of room)

its possible.. kind of..
1st. you need to get some pulleys so you could drive your alt. off of. also ther is no crank pulleys on it, thats how alt.s are driven.
then you gota fund room for the batt and the alt
then you gotta find room for speakers and radio.
it is kind of a good idea.. but you wouldnt be able to hear it while riding..
want a better solution..
get an MP3 player, and get those little ear phones and listen to it like that while your riding.

oh u could hear it.. trust me.. get a BIG *** alpine system LOL and a big alternator.. yes u gotta find space but in a prarie theres the sort of cage where the front tires are and u can hide a alt there and put the battery like on the back rack and make a closed box with maby an amp and other things and drill some holes into the plastic facing u and facing away (right below the racks) and hook up an alpine cd changer on the front rack.. and last but not least make it detachable so when u actually need to ride trails or espessially mud u can take it off.. sure would be sweet wouldnt it? ridin 50+ with disturbed CRANKED lol PEACE!

would also be safer than speakers in ur ear for a couple of reasons.. one u can hear ur engine so u can know when to shift or if u missed a shift and start jammin the throttle and not hearin it till u notice the engine dies YIKES! and for safety too.. u can hear other people... along with ur jammin music lol

I've had a 4 speaker system on my quad before... I used waterproof 5" boat speakers ( not the type of system you atre talking about, but quite effective ), they were permanantly mounted on my rack boxes, & I had an AM / FM / CD player... I will be hooking the system back up this summer, in a removable fashon, as I also race the quad... however, I'll be hooking it up to an MP3 player... the CD would skip during high speed trail pounding... the front speakers, the amp & MP3 player will stay for races, but the rear rack / gas can holder / spare tire carrier will be removable for racing...

I opted for modifying my helmet with small (but high quality) headphone speakers and a MP3 player which I normally place in my shirt pocket.

TYZORG... my system is small enough that a utility quads generator will put out enough power... I did upgrade the battery, to one out of a 700 Sportsman, ( twice the battery that my Prairie had, stock )...I removed the stock storage box, & added a double size stainless battery tray, to hold the big Sportsman battery
