Default Low range question

I recently bought an '02 P650. When is the right time to use low range? What is the max speed for low? How slow should I be going when I change from low to high and from 2 to 4 wheel drive? Thanks for the input.

Low range is good till you hear the rev-limiter. Switching from high to low....wait till you are almost stopped to switch..rolling slow is cool. 2x - 4x... you can switch it at any time. It won't actually actuate from 2x to 4x or from 4x to 2x until I think it's under 12 mph.

Dumb question here, but what sound does the rev limiter make?

Default Low range question

You probably hit something similar going in reverse till you hit the over ride button, only at WOT your enging is way faster & makes a not so friendly hesitation...growl..missing sensation. Best way to hear it is to warm it up put it in neutral and jam on the throttle till you hear the difference in the engine noise...sputtering and missing.
