Default Locking Diff

I"ve been hauling wood & the locking front Diff saved me on my P650.Snow & ice slick woods pulling a 3.5 ft x4.5 trailer loaded with oak fire wood up a 30 degree trail.Couldn't use the truck or tractor,to soft. The locking Diff made the differance.Only time I really have needed it.Wouldn"t be without it now. You got that right, if a quad don't have a locker these day its not a quad in my book.
I have grabbed for that locker lever more than once climbing steep mountain sides.

I have to and if you punch it while holding in the diff WOW better hang on i almost shot off a hill. It really does save you though i found out shooting frozen creeks and i fell through it was about 2 or 3 feet deep i was in 2 wheel then put it in 4wheel still no luck so i pulled the diff and back up a little a put it in low range bam i was out.

Little note:

If you pick up a small quick release strap and have it easy access you can use the strap for a locking the diff on. This way we get the best of both worlds. I've used this technique haulling logs in the spring for bridges etc... and it made it super easy.

I know what you mean about this thing lauching. I was climbing the backside of a dirt pile and slipped the tires a little so the next time I put it in 4wd, held in the lever and nailed it. I was about 4 ft from the top and literally jumped off of the other side! Kinda scary when it was all over cuz if it had decided to go over backwards I would have been screwed.
Its kinda nice to have ALMOST too much power in a stock motor.
