Shotgun,

Looking at the pictures at Sudco http://www.sudco.com/keihinjets.html, I think the jets in the DG kit are for For CR, FCR, PJ, PWM, PE, PD, and Harley carbs. But, I don't know for sure. They look long for our carbs, but that doesn't mean the pic is accurate either.

Peace,
Sgt_Rock

I just ordered #170 - #188 jets and #45 pilot jets from Sudco. If that doesn't cover me, well, I will officially be the worst 'jetter' at atvconnection. ;-)

My dial-a-jets were ordered today as well. Should be a tuning weekend as long - as I get the cams, springs, valve stem seals, and base gaskets this week.

Peace,
Sgt_Rock

I have Prairiewrenches 785 here so I can do some R&D work and I will be able to give you guys some better jetting specs.

I talked to the guy (my cousin actually) that is doing my big bore install and head work. He said the stock heads are almost regoddamndiculous (For you Stern fans). The bridge between the intake valves is flat and the head looks like it came straight out of the mold without being cleaned up. It's difficult to get the full picture over the phone, but he sounded less than impressed with the interior of the stock heads.

Based on what he saw, he believes that porting the heads is one of the top, low cost, mods you can make to your V-Twin. He is matching the intake and exhaust ports as well, but the porting is something to consider if you're looking for a bump in power.

Peace,

SCHL48-Yeah, it runs semi-good. It is really touchy, if it don't like it, it let's you know.!.
I have 4 1" holes in my airbox with the snorkel removed. I have stock needles in the stock position. I got my jets from my dealer like some of the others on here. Hope this helps you out.

I have just came in from breaking the 785 in some more and this is how it is jetted. Dyno-jet needles in the center clip, #170 frt, #175 rear, stock #40 pilots, 3 turns out on the fuel screws with 2 1inch holes in the top of the air box cover. This prairie also has DG air in-take and hole-shot mod. I need to get more time on it but it needs bigger pilots #42 or #45's.

If this 785cc kit does not thrill you, something is wrong because it flat gets it.

Mickey,
How's things going. I wish you would of done some R&D on my machine in the beginning, being from PA. Maybe I wouldn't have had overheating problems!(150frt.-155rr.) Oh well this way I have learned alot about my motor, live and learn!!! That 785 should be able to handle some more air and fuel on the top end, just my opinion. I hope to run into you at Rausch Crk. this May, just to say hi and meet you in person. Keep up the great work and good to see you more on the forums speaking out! By the way how dare you say the V-twin doesn't need any more power, SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!

I just got some jets from motorcyclecarbs.com PH# 770-435-3372 They have all different main and pilots. The main jets are #99101-393XXX(XXX=175) The pilots are N424-22-XXX(XXX=#45) They are $5.95 each plus $6.95 for shipping.

Here are some Kawi#'s for main jets 92063-1386=170, 92063-1387=175, 92063-1388=180, 92063-1390=185, 92063-1391=190

Just thought this would help!

wildwill - let me know when you come out to Rausch Creek. That's my stompin' grounds. Maybe we should have an ATV Connection Rausch Creek run?

Peace,
