Default FST 785 Jetting and Needle setting?

I installed the FST 785 kit into my Prairie 700 and just can't get it to run right. The closest we've had it was with the airbox lid off, but I don't think I should run it without in the snow or dusty conditions. Anybody have any suggestions or thoughts on that??
Appreciate the feedback.

I have 170/175 on my V, as my sig says. It is too rich so I will be dropping down to a 165/170 in the spring. That should put it about right. I'm about 1500 feet above sea level.

PCDOC-Are you running w/ the airbox lid on or off, are you using a snorkel, are you using stock needles and stock needle positioning??

SCHL48-Yeah, it runs semi-good. It is really touchy, if it don't like it, it let's you know.!.

Ditto on where are you getting the jets - my 765 kit will be done this week but I still need the jets. Mickey said 180/185 as a place to start, but I'm not having much luck finding them. I'd really like to find a jet kit with a selection of Kehin jets.

Peace,
Sgt_Rock

Just give chad a call 1 800 998 3529
We take Visa, Mastercard, AMEX
Regards Chad
kehin jets are 3.05 apiece.
dyno jets are 2.oo apiece but you have to buy a kit.
figure what jets you want and call him and he will tell you if they make them.
393 - 019202 (160), 019203 (162), 019204 (165),019205 (168), 019206 (170), 019207 (172)

these are the numbers i ordered and got minus either the 65 or 68 . you can still drill to get them perfect.
dynojet kit for prairie goes to 144 equals which is 157.5 kehin jet.

vforce jet in dynojets largest is 138 which is 150 kehin.

so if you are jetting higher than 150 kehin vforce or 157.5 prairie these kits are to small. one other thing if you want the dynojet needles you have to buy a kit and then you can buy larger dynojets.

Hey guys!

I got some of mine through me dealer, but he only could get in increments of 5. Try this place out http://www.sudco.com/keihin.html. They have the 2.5 increments all they way to 200.

I ordered some the other day plus they have different size pilots for our carbs too. I found my setup runs best turned out 3.5 to 3.75 turns out on the air screws. So I went up one size to 45 instead of 40's. They are all $5.95 each and $6.95 for shipping, it will take about 10 to 14 days!

Good Luck!
