28" Mudzillas in mud. Nobody bothered to take my picture in deep mud. But I was in the deepest.
28" Mudzillas clean, on douglas wheels.

PRAIRIE DUDE--- If you stay out of the mud pits, and like to stay clean, you don't need that aggressive tread. If you like fast trail riding, I can recommend the ITP Holeshot ATRs. 6 ply, fairly lite for a 6 ply. VERY,VERY versatile tire. I have run 2 sets, and am preparing to buy the 3rd. These tires were "made" for the big Prairies! They perform flawlessly in everything but deeeeep clay mud. They're downside is that they are made of a pretty soft compound. What the he!!, small price to pay for a season of INCREDIBLE handling and performance.!!!!!
MOST dealers are wanting to sell you what is on the shelf, or items that they have a HUGE profit margin; not necessarily what YOU NEED!

ThatPrairie700Dude, when I got mine in aug 2001, I thought the stock tires stunk and wanted to get something cool looking. I got mudzillas and a lot of people made comments about how they looked and they really ate the mud well.
But
I sold them because I do not believe I will ever go on a ride where I would rather have the 28" mudzillas than something lighter like the mudrunners. Mudrunners are extremely tough, and last a long time. They do not hook up on dry dirt that well, or on wet logs and rocks, but do great just about everywhere else including snow.
In fact, I am currently still on the lookout for a lightweight 25" tire. I might get ATR's or I might get Bighorns.
Be careful getting big bad tires, because you might not like them and wind up getting another tire.

Don't rule out the Bi/Tri-Claws. Worth taking a look at at least. But I'm not trying to sway you there just cause I have a set. They are the closest you will get in the mud to Laws or Zillas, and they will do better on the trails than any of the other big mud tires. I would rate them better than Vamps (not EDL's) in all aspects (though they are probably about neck and neck in the mud).
