Default mickey help 785 running rich

fst 785 vforce is jetted with 170 and 175 jets which feels absolutely perfect on the top end but is way rich on the bottom,it will not idle a small price to pay but any input would be nice from you or anybody with 785 kit, also blowing a lot of oil out of the vent when riding on steep hills, have taken the vent hose loose from the air box and extended it up near the handle bars and it has helped but is still a problem.

You probally arent getting any replies because of where you purchased your engine kit. doesnt matter to me but md has talked enough smack to people on here who dont agree with him that they want no part in dealing with him or any of his loyal subjects. go pbr!!

It's people saying things like this that get me started. You didn't have to say anything, but you chose to be a smart *** and you wonder why I come on here loaded for bear.

Sincityduner,

What are your air screws at and have you changed the pilot jet? The main jets are only going to affect the 1/2 throttle and up. Try turning in your air screws which will lean it out.

For what is worth, I haven't had any trouble working with Mickey on my 765 kit. Including me asking questions and making some last minute changes on shipping stuff. He's been easy to deal with and the components are top notch.

Peace,
Sgt_Rock

SGTROCK, I'm not sure about the air screws,Sandtech here in vegas said go out and run it for the weekend and then bring it back so they can fine tune a little as I am not to keen on carberation as of yet, I do remember him telling me he drilled out the pilot jets because he said he couldn't fine any big enough,I said the pilot jets he said yep, so thats why its probably running rich but as soon as you give it the gas you had better be holding on. I raced several times at comp hill against bikes ,one race was against a honda 450 and kawi kx 500 and had them beat half way up the hill then they would pass and pull away pretty fast, but still fun.
P.S. 75 degree today out here, all of my family is in or from Garret county Maryland

Sudco has the pilot jets. It sounds like you'll be fine though. A bit of tuning and you'll be in rock and roll mode.

Peace,

sounds like you have a pilot jet problem. if you drilled them out it was probably to big it dont take much.
