i got a few questions on the 785 kit for the kfx700.
before answering my questions you can scroll down and see what i have done to my machine already.
1) how dependable is the machine after installing the kit.
2) i saw it was now a 800 kit, is that true.
3) i know i should also port & polish the head, any other tricks recomended that i should do.
4) will i pickup much speed on the top end, i was once told without any new rearend kit out yet that i was waisting time and money looking for more top end speed.
5) how much $$$$ should i expect to spend for the kit & how much would it cost to have it installed.
6) those of yall who have did the kit already would you spend the money again for the results you got.
7) ok the last question, how is the vortex going to work with or w/o the kit,or should i just wait for the module.
thanks for the help,
sorry to mention the module , (maybe the release date now is 2010, lol)

2) I believe the new kits are now 800...
3) I had my heads P&P. I heard a few milled their heads down some to raise the compression a bit... I did not do this.
4) I picked up a bit of top end speed. Probably not much but a little. You can invest in a Dalton overdrive clutch plate to help top end or get taller tires.
5) I think I spent around $350 for head work... $1100 for the 785 kit... Around $200 for the machine work. I did the work with a buddy so no labor cost (except beer).
6) I would do it again in a minute.
7) I would think any CDI is going to have greater benefits on a built engine.
