Default P-700 raced a Sportsman 700

Sup guys?
Just some info. I raced a Sportsman 700 with my P-700 the other day. He has stock tires and I have 27 outlaws on with a black spring. We raced on a street and he beat me, only by a little bit. Maybe a bike length topped out. He kept talking s*&t all day. So my friend came riding the next weekend and he has a stock P-700 with stock tires. They raced and the stock P-700 smoked him by about 3-4 bikes. I didn't realize how much you loose with big mud tires. Just some info...

My 26" outlaws suck back the top speed too, I can top out around 90 kmh on my 650. I still love the power down low though, nothing can tame the Praire. Its good to hear the Polaris got put in place, last, lol. Even with the outlaws you almost stayed with him. Race him again once you get a CDI, lol. He will cry, then get him to put some outlaws on his Polaris and see how slow he is.

You loose RPM's, therefore speed, anytime you add weight to rotateing mass....ie heavier tires....lighten you clutch or clutch weights and springs.

Talk to Dale @ Dalton.

Also the CDI is coming..

Even if you had two different tires with the exact same weight, but different diameters, the rotational accleration would be slower for the larger diameter tires.

Yep, Larger diameter tires coupled with much more weight equals 4-5 bike lengths in a race. The CDI is coming soon as well as the Nyroc muffler mod. A twin airfilter and probably a re-jet will do the trick. It's just hard to believe that I lost that much due to tires. Oh well. It's about the dry season down here and I'll be putting the stock shoes back on. Thank god my friend beat that polaris. Polaris' suck...

My next door neighbor has an EFI sportsman 700. We race all the time. I kill him from the start but if we are going neck to neck he will take me. He starts catching up in the middle speed range. His EFI is pretty fast and it runs as smooth as glass.
