Default Runs Great when its.........................

Ok here we go, My '03 p650 runs a ton better when its cold. After it warms up it still runs good, just not near as good when its cold. This tells me it is running rich somewhere. Also when someone is riding behind me they say its rich.
The question is Change Main Jets? air /fuel adjustment? Shim the needle? What or where Should I start?
The only mod that would effect it is the exhaust mod. I am running stock jets, air filter etc.

I am planning on the Napa Hose this weekend and ordering a filter sometime soon. I just hate waiting for the UPS truck. I wish I could just go and buy one!

carb heaters are a little hose that lets water from radiator run threw your carbs, to elimanate just bypass carbs with hose.

Sounds rich to me , check to see if the choke/enrichener is sticking. Heres an article on jetting and adjusting the carb.carb
Also check the air filter, it could be over oiled, or dirty.

That is a great article on carbs and yet I have another question. If you shim the needle doest that make it richer or leaner. I am thinking richer. However, I remember being wrong once when I was a child.
