Default Jet-Hot question

Jet-Hot coated pipes radiate 50% less heat( which can increase HP through higher exhaust gas velocity) but where does all the heat go? Out the pipe? I have heard it will Increase engine internal temp as well. Does anyone know how much?

Yep, it goes out the pipe. My local coating man has several different coatings for different applications. There are coatings that trap heat, coatings that radiate heat, coatings that just look good and protect from rust ect.............. and on and on and on................

If you have a nice open pipe it should not increase the temp. If you don't, it will depend on how much back pressure you have.

Oe more thing. The coatings that some people use are thick. If you get the inside of the pipe done you should go up one pipe size to compensate for the lost space.

I have mine Ceramachromed. I believe this is the same thing. I noticed I do not get hot spots on the pipe and it does seem a little bit zippier.
