Default Dynojet kit installation

I just purchased a stage 1 dynojet kit from Dennis Kirk for my Prairie 300. Are these easy to install or should I bring it to Kawasaki?? Also, if anyone else has used one of these kits I would like to know how much of a difference the dynojet and K&N filters made.

I installed the dynojet in my '01 Sportsman 500HO to compensate for K&N and supertrapp. Install was fairly easy, main jet, slide spring, needle clip position and pilot adj. Instuctions are good, options for filter, pipe and altitude. The worst part on the 500 was getting to the carb. for pilot adj on quad. Lighter slide spring (on vac carb) makes it open quicker. Overall good kit, helped performance. Probably moderate mech ability would do. Do it yourself -- don't be a slave to the dealer! I have one on the way for my V-Force.

I just rejetted the 400 with a Dyno Jet stage 2 kit. It's very straight forward. I personally think it's worth the extra 5 minutes to remove the carb for the job, makes it much easier IMHO.

I put the dynojet on my 300p, took about 30 min. I could tell a big difference in the low end torque, not much on top end. I agree with bigsaint, its worth the extra time to remove the carb. Good Luck!!

I put one on my V-Force and got a full overall hp outta it, I got dyno numbers to prove it. Also got better throttle response, well worth the 50 bucks!

Dynojet has their own website at www.dynojet.com. They even post the instructions online so you can preview them in advance.

Hope this helps.
