650 Camo paint chiping
#1
Has anyone had any trouble with the camo chiping off. I had some come off my front fender. I called the dealer and they said they would replace the fender. They said a wear mark is normal but chiping is not. This is on a 2003 P650.

I just bought 04 700 prairie last month. when I bought it it was being stored outside so there was snow and ice on it. when I brought it home I saw a lot of bubbling (that I had earlier assumed was ice) it also had a couple of chips on it as well. I am a little disapointed in the dealer for not pointing it out... It was rather obvious. I had to send pictures to the dealer so they could replace it. Apparently they will replace all of my plastic. Now I have to play the infamous kawasaki waiting game. I love Kawis product but sometimes there are a few to many hoops to jump through.

I have an 02 with no warranty and I too have found chipping, at first I could'nt see it (camoflouged) then I noticed green spots without paint andI was bummed but what are you going to do besides be careful. I think it's from my kids climbing on

the camo on my 700 praire is chipping around the speedo housing. hopefully the rest of my plastic starts chipping/ peeling so i can hopefully get new stuff as well. maybe red this time seeing how i didn't pay extra for the camo anyways.

Have any of you guys tried to contact kawasaki via e-mail about this problem? I replaced my 02 red 650 with used 04 700 camo with only 16hours and 25 miles and after the first ride i rinsed it off with a Garden hose and around the tank area the camo started chipping off and under it the water beaded up on the shinny plastic. This plastic was not prepared in any way for the camo coat. if i get the pressure washer out i could have a green 700 in a matter of 5mins. Also under the front fenders the plastic has like a white coating on it is that normal. I think that kawasaki has done something wrong but mine is out of warranty. Up the creek and not happy about it!!!!! LOL
