The upper strut mounts are the only thing that needs to be done! I have done a few of them. My email is is below in my profile, email me your number and I will call you and tell you how I do it and I believe I have some pics somewhere also.

I also had to gusset ( regusset better ) the rear rack supports, & replaced the cast aluminum rack supports ( which also support the rear fenders )... however this was a result of too much jumping, with stuff on the rear rack... ( I only noted this, if you intend to do informal jumping, with stuff on the rear rack... also forum members have reported breaking these cast aluminum supports easily, by bumping trees... mine are stainless, but could have been made out of heavier gauge aluminum if you wanted ) if you remove the rear rack, the stock supports would work fine for just the fenders...
IMO, most of the problems with the front srtut towers results from bottoming out the front suspension, with the front rack removed ( the front rack, helps support the shock towers... I have a heavey gauge aluminum strut support that goes between the towers... adding aftermarket springs like the Elka system reduces bottoming out, & greatly reduces the stress on the towers...
PRAIRIEWRENCH won't steer you wrong on supporting the shock towers...
