to any one who is running atr's.... how do you like them? how do they grip in loose and hard pack? how do they ride compared to stockers? i heard there shorter than they say so what size would you have to get to equal or excede the stock size? compard to stockers do they perform just as well in mud/ slick places? also do they work well on c seares wheels? thanks

There are lots of people on here who have or have had them. Summing up my impression from what others have posted. Casual riders and rock crawlers love them, good reports about snow traction. There are some minor concerns as to side walls being cut in sharp rocks. Racers for the most part don't like them without using beadlocks. At higher pressures to protect sidewalls ie 5.5 - 7 pounds several have complained of high speed wobble, goes away at under 4 pounds but exposes sidewalls to possible damage. Early ones had problems but ITP warranty replaced them (stood behind them well) Use the search there have been lots of information posted about them. Right now only available in 25s said to be wider than stockers and close in height depends on pressure. Wear is average some reported that some of the lugs where tearing loss don't remember but think most have been able to get those replaced.

I purchased these tires as soon as they came out. I have had no problems with them at all. I ride hard (if you could see my quad you'd agree). I live in New England. Positives- Radials, great traction on hard pack, average in mud and snow, great cornering traction. Negatives- wobble at higher speeds have only noticed on pavement, they lose air over time. I wish they sealed better. almost to much traction hard to spin. If I were considering purchaseing tires now I would look hard and long at the Bighorn Radials. Hope this helps

I love them!! Good in every terrain except deep mud, but the are the lightest in Utility performance tires and don't consume to much power away from the engine like big mud tires do. I say for sporty hard surface driving they are excellent with great handling!

i bolth atr's and bighorns the atr's are just a bit smaller diamanter but they are also a little narower as well check out my photos........i havent riden with the bighorns but i have about 1000 miles on the atr's and they are great ........they work very well in sand as well as hard pack....i used them in the badlands in ND. and in loose stup in KY, they don't work very well in soft mud ..(the reason for the bighorn's their tread patern seems to look better for that) .as far as ride i feel they work better then the stock tires .....they are worth the money .............my view ......i also have a set of 10" all the way around of mud lites...nice tire great price but i don't use them for trail rideing .....not the ride of the atr's....

The ITP advertisment starts on page 115, 2004 ITP - look under the holeshot ATR tire page
The new sizes are 205/85R12 for the front, the rears are 255/70R15. The 25" sizes are 205/80R12 fronts and 270/60R12 for the rears. Looks like the fronts are taller and the rears are taller and wider. Looks like an ideal size for everything except mudding. I had a set on my P650 that I purchased in Sept. 2002. I didn't have very good luck with them, I loved the way they handled and rode but the sidewalls were very prone to holes, I think they have improved the newer tires. I am thinking of getting the 26 inchers.
