If I have my V jetted for pipe, filter, altitude is there any rule of thumb for jetting increase when modifying the airbox with snorkle? Also should I remove the baffle ? Just got mine today.

DG reccomends 148/152 as a starting point for their intake with an aftermarket exhaust.
My dmc duals were jetted at 138/F 142..so you can do the math.

My dg snorkel fit like crap btw, and i bet 20 bucks yours will too =D
as for the baffel, it will flow air FASTER prolly, but it wont flow MORE air. The snorkel decides how much air is flown.
Thats my opinion

I have a Dynojet kit, not installed yet-just thought I might get a little closer the first try.

You just complicated it more. dyno jets hav different numbers than stock.
A 138/142 keihn jet (which are the stock brand) is like a 152/155 dyno jet.

What are you jetted at now with your exhaust, filter and you alt.? i can see if i can get it close for ya.

im sorry i switched that around. A 138/142 keihn jet is 124/128 for a dyno jet. I get that mixed up.

I haven't put on the pipe yet, it's a muzzy's-- K&N a.f.--D.G. snorkle-- 0-2000 ft--Dynojet stage one -they rec. 124 f & 128 r, without airbox mods(snorkle) I think they want the needle clip in groove 5 (from top) have to go out to shop to be sure on needle set.

my v700 is also jetted for yoshi pipes and the K&N, i have also just purchased the DG snorkel , dont know if this is a good idea but i was thinking of installing the dial-a-jet system in to air box, i know it should be lean after installing the snorkel and thats what you want with the dial-a-jet system, i aslo would like to know what others have done with the baffle in the air box.

thanks, crash

O its worth it. You can feel the difference in power once you have it on. They just didnt take the time to design and angle it right so when you go and attach it to the rubber piece that fits on the lip of the airbox, it doesnt FULLY fit all the way in the rubber piece. Its barely on there. I had to tighten the clamp as much as i could so it would never slip off and so i wouldnt have air leak out.
The fact that they made it out of carbon fiber boggles me. I think they just wanted to get ya for more money IMO. (the carbon fiber can be made super cheap so then they can turn around and sell it high because it looks good and they make a killer profit.) Someone said that dg said they chose carbon fiber because all the other platics and what not they tried got deformed or melted from the heat. WHAT HEAT?!! The stock snorkel is made out of plastic and doesnt warp or deform. a dryer vent (which vents out warm to hot air from a dryer) doesnt warp or deform. Cool air will run through the snorkel which in turn would keep the snorkel itself cool so the deformity crap is a hoax.

A dryer vent hose or something like that has been known to work just as well for people. Its the cheaper way to go.
