I sure hope that KAW uses a EFI system that you can easily "map".

 

Dang man I almost got this one the way I like it.

This is just as bad as the waitress re-filling your coffee after you get it just the way you like it.

I hope there's more fuel capacity but I'm trying figure out where the fuel tank will go. The IRS is going to eat into that space. Possibly where it is on the V or the AC650.

 

Correct me if I"m wrong but
the way I understood it the new 750 EFI was going to be a bored 700 motor
so there is probably not enough room left to go any farther than 802
Any body out there know if Kaw designed a new motor for this new unit?

 

I have heard the same rumor as Newbeatle, that the motor was a single by Suzuki. I am NOT interested in a single any more, I am spoiled by that smoooooth V-twin!

Thats exactly what i have heard from a dealer not far from me! i just hope they style it like the Vinson, that would be awesome!

as for everyone saying how much single cylinders suck compared to v-twins.....whats the deal? those V's arent what they are cracked up to be, IMO. iether way, im interested to see this thing (if it reached production!) how awesome would it be if they took a Vinson and added IRS, than slap a huge engine in it with EFI........i can se one in my garage right now..lol. The new 750prairie WILL NOT BE A SUZUKI SINGLE 699cc MOTOR. My dealer told me he just got back from a kawasaki new products work shop the other day and found out that the new 750EFI prairie will be the v-twin motor. And for logic, why would kawasaki go back to a single cylinder motor when the v-twin has been rated the best utility quad motor??????? When you have something going right, you don't decide to take a step back! The dealer also told me that it will be offered with IRS and SRA and will be out sometime in the fall of 2004. He also said there will be nothing of suzuki on it. There will also be a 500cc v-twin motor with IRS or SRA as well.

 

Well its possible that kawasaki could launch a new quad, based on the KQ. Just like suzuki did with the TP. Singles create more torque, but have more vibration. There is a weight savings as well with a single.

 

How can you say a single cylinder can creat more torque than a v-twin?????? That don't make any since. With the single, it has to move once up to fire and then the second time up is for the exhust. With a v-twin, when the cylinders go up, one is firing and the other is exhusting. Then on the second stroke, the other is firing and the other is exhusting.......giving torque on every stroke, not every other one.
