Default Wheels...what's the difference here?

I want to get the C series wheels for my Prairie. What's the difference between type 4, 5 and 6 aluminum wheels?

ATV wheels

Also, does anyone know of C series wheels that aren't polished aluminum? Polished doesn't seem appropriate for a woodland camo quad.

type 4 is the oldest of the c series,(what most of us have) type 5 is a clear coated four spoke style with a heavy lip @ the bead area called a "rock crusher", the type 6 is not clear coated but it is polished aluminum with no heavy bead lip also the four spokes are thinner to be lighter. hope this helps. atvdirect sells a painted black type 4. i haven't checked to see if anyone else sends aluminum wheels to be painted. I have c series (unpainted) on my camo p700 and I am very pleased with the looks. unless my riding buddies are lying to be nice, most have had positive things to say. and besides, bling-bling! (sorry had to say it...)

I've noticed black C series for sale here and there. Those are just rejects that they painted to cover the cosmetic flaws. Oddly, I recall them being more expensive than the standard ones though.

I have some of the polished ones and they look okay on camo. But, I hear where you are coming from.

Bling bling is ghetto for "nice looking".

I have a set of the ITP c series in black and they look great too. They are not painted but look like they are annodized (sp?).

Here are some pictures:

I put a set of Type 6 on my Prairie this last weekend. Told everyone that I was doing it to try and reduce my unsprung weight, unfortunately they were heavier than the stock wheels! Truth is, it was all about the bling!!

They look great, will try to update my pictures soon. Not sure if they would be want you want to put on a camo quad.

DirtyWhiteBoy, thanks for the ghetto translation. You would think I should know that stuff, being as how I live just outside San Bernardino, CA.

MikeRhyne, nice looking rig. That's the look I want.

I just bought some ITP 5 series to put on my camo bike. I guess the mix of bling bling wheels, with luggy tires on a camo bike is kind of different, but when I coat them with mudd, it wont make a difference.
