Looking to buy either a superwinch or a Ramsey winch, is one better then the other?? What is the best place to buy them at? Also is 2000lbs enough or should I step up to 2500??

 

I had a superwinch on my Praire400,it was ok but I only had the 1500.Superwinch is an ok low-end winch ,maybe their higher end winchs are of better quality.I am waiting to receive my new winch for my P650(warn 3.0) and remove the Tusk 2000 lb winch.That winch seems to be frozen or stuck and it has never been submerged!

 

Unithas,I forgot to mention where I bought my winch from,it's a small company out of New York,rcsoff-road.com,I found this company on ebay.Check out ebay! Go online and type in winches and do some price comparison.I bought my first winch from Cabela's(for the P400) and my second winch (for the P650) from Rocky Mountain.My 3rd winch is coming from rcsoff-road.I hope this is my last winch but I have a feeling that it isn't.......

 

I bought mine from ebay. Best deal I could find. It might of been www.e-winches.com They discounted the mounting bracket and did not rip my head off on shipping. After much research I bought a Ramsy 2500 w/remote for about 300 dollars. Warn winches had a faster line speed but sucked a lot more juice. This was a concern for me. I don't have it completely installed yet so I can't offer nuch else. Good luck hope this helped

 

I also got the Ramsey 3k wireless on e-bay. $325. I have used Superwinch and the Ramsey is 10x better. Well worth the extra money.
