Looking for at least 26" maybe 27" mud tire that can do it all!

Oh yeah it must also be able to handle P700 power without going bald prematurely.

Look at the mudrunners

 

27" 589's are great in the mud and okay on the trails. If you going to spend more time on hardpack than the mud then go for the mudlites. 589 are great in the snow too!

 

I've heard horror stories about them wearing poorly.

Any of you guys noticed this?

I've got over 2400miles on my 26" Mudlites, and they are wearing great. I've done my share of driving on pave also, so I'm real impress at the wear of these tires.

i would say 589's are the best wearing tire out there but there weight and size 26's 27's afect power and slide abilty thats why a lot of use went with 2 sets of tires winter summer i got my 589's from nebraskatire.com 50 bucks a peice to your door for 27's but they are blems but i've had no performace related issues with them

 

Mudrunners will hands down out perform any of the previously mentioned tires, in the mud, will ride smoother on hard pack, than any but the Mud Lites, & will outwear all of them as well... the 589's will fall just behind the Mudrunners in mudding ability, & wear... If you drive conservitively the Mud Lites may work well for you, but if you prefer to "rip" around in 2 - WD, you'll find that the rear tires will wear out much faster than I find acceptable... see my sig., you'll see that if anyone knows tires, I do... I just put in my order for a dozen more tires to test out this summer...
