Default Mojave pipe is rubbing against the tire PLEASE HELP!!

My brother in law has a 00 mojave and recently when anyone sits on it regardless of weight, the exhaust pipe rubs against the tire and if you drive it it burns up the side of the tire so he cant drive it.. Has anyone experienced this problem? I called kawasaki and they said its probably the shock and its 900.00 for a new one, is it possible its the spring? Thanks i appreciate it..

Is everything stock (tires, pipe)? If so, something is wrong. I put maxxis razrs on mine with a DG Accelerator pipe and they rubbed once in awhile while cornering or jumping hard. Some durablue wheel spacers in back fixed it; at least until I change out the axle..
