Standing a P700 up..
#1
on it's back wheels. I've seen this done in many a magazine report, but I've never stood mine up.
May be a silly question, but what's the best technique to do this?
Do I have to be concerned about any fluids running out, etc?

The only fluids that would come out are gas to keep the carbs from flooding. What i do to wheelie (when i first started), was kinda rev the engine, but not enough to move it, then jerking back on your handle bars, nail the gas, this should make it rocket up. Its easy on my friends Vforce.

As far as i know, every one does have them running, You have no idea how much easier it is to wheelie a sport quad than a Utility, You'd be suprized at how much easier it is, especially on any of the sport hondas and the 400 Zuki/clones.

I've stood the TB up on end while it was off...gas start to go all over so I pushed it back down right away....best way to do it...run the bike untill out of gas...then stand it up on end...with the TB I just picked the front up and repostioined my hands and then pushed it the rest of the way over

I put my p700 on its back end while its off. I'm not a big fan of pulling a wheelie in my garage (dang walls in the way if I don't pull it off) plus I'd have to take gear off the front rack to pull a good wheelie. I lock the rear brakes then I usually jack up the front end as high as I can get it then I squat down in front and push it up - sometimes I get the wife to help if I'm too lazy to jack it up.

I'm a pretty big guy, but I've found mine pretty easy to stand up off of my ramps from my trailer ( even easier if I use the ramps on my truck instead )... I think it's better to have the gas shut off, & not a bad idea to burn the carbs dry... coast the quad backwards down the ramps, until the back tire fully touches the ground, then I stand on the rear rack, & pull up on the handle bars...
I've found just as easy ( for working on things ), to roll it on it's side...

I recently replaced an A arm bearing.....stood mine up for three days strait....had to wait for parts
First I shut the gas off and let it run till it died
then drained the oil........didnt want that rear cyl filling up
then my winch came in real handy for the hard part
lost a little water out the resevoir but that was it

Hi everyone I'm new so go easy on me.I have a P700 and I stand it up all the time while in my garage and also in transit in my pick-up.It has never leaked a drop of anything.I stood it on end for over a week in my garage with no ill effects.

It is not good to do it when it is running. I used to ride wheelies with it almost straight up and too much oil gets to the top of the cylinder and it smokes and bogs down for a while until that oil is burned off. I do not do this anymore.
