Default HEAD WORK--PORTING & POLISHING

I have a second complete set of heads now for the P700 and would like to know who can I send them to to get them ported and polished or can I do this my self. I may also send off the carbs to get them polished. Any and all comments please. Also would this be a mod that will give noticeable power. The will always be a need for more power.

Default HEAD WORK--PORTING & POLISHING

BIGPAPA... the best bet is to spend some time looking for the "right" shop to do them... I spoke to 3 different flow bench techs, before having mine done... with a twin cylinder, twin carb engine, IMO, it's worth flowing on a bench... I was told ( between the 3 different techs ), that there could be as much as a 20% flow gain... I know my Prairie now out performs most averagely modified V Forces, even though my quad is 250 lbs heavier than them... I had the heads flowed at the same time as my FST 750 kit was installed ( with cams ), & have a "ram air type" induction system of my own design installed... so I don't know how much of a difference flowing the heads, alone, made ??? I'd strongly reccommend a better cam grind in those heads, if you are going to flow them...
