I have a '03 P360 2x4. Completly stock and the converters messed up in the auto tranny. We also have to extended warranty and we took it to get fixed and they had to send it off to get the warranty folks to see if it would cover it. When we picked up the atv they gave us the parts back and said the warrnaty would not cover it. Does the warranty company send the parts back? It cost almost $1000 to fix it so i really need to know this ASAP

I would suggest you contact your Kawasaki rep, anyway. There are more than a few Dealers that would rather have the customer paying the bill, as opposed to Kawi paying for Warranty work.

At this point, I'd become very familiar with your ext. warranty details.

Was the clutch worn out or did it physically break something? If the bushings are worn out they probably won't do anything for you. If it broke they should cover it.

novakaw650,
The dealer said the main converter broke and messed up the secondary converter. Should this be covered by warranty? But that is what he said I dont know if its true.

The dealer told us he sent the parts to see if the warranty would cover it but the Kawi headquaters never recieved the parts. So he lied. Maybe I could get Kawi or the dealership to replace the tranny for free and get a $1000 dollars out of it to. Please reply

BULLSH*# I would get in contact with you areas district mananger from Kawasaki and let him know of exactly what took place and that you want to know of what he will do for you or do you need to get the Better Business Bureau involved on both parties. This should be enough for him to get your wheeler fixed and you refunded.

Take it to another dealer.

Maybe I could get Kawi or the dealership to replace the tranny for free and get a $1000 dollars out of it to.

That ain't gonna happen. You'll get the machine fixed at best.

Try (949) 460-5688 ext. ext. 2467 at that number. I believe his name is Rick... If not ask for Rick.
Good luck.

Broken converter? That has to be a flaw. I wore mine slap out. Big groove in the pulley with metal on metal contact where the slides used to be. It didn't break.
