KFX/Z400 top end on mojave...
#1
ok i know this is a shot in the dark, but i figured it wouldnt hurt to ask..
my friend has a 03 Z400 and he is going to rebuilt the entire motor, and he said that i could have the top end for the mo. i think that the head wont fit, but it would be great if it did/could.. big bore+short stroke= high rpm! but i was wandering will the Z400/KFX cams fit in the mo's head? or are the journals on the 400 cams too big? if i did this i would port the head out as well.
any questions/sugestions are great

I don't believe any engine part will be swappable. The engine on the Mojave has been around for years and is made by Kawasaki. The engine in the Z400/KFX400 is based on the DR-Z dirt bike and is made soley by Suzuki. That is why I do not think it will fit. Try finding a KLX300 dirt bike. I believe that the Mojave and KLX 300 are basaically the same engine but I am not sure. It would deffinately be worth checking out if they are.
