Default napa 7335 work for a v force? what shape is it?

I got the hose and it is the shape of a u. to me it should be the shape of an s. I went to diffrent part stores and got the napa, and had the other stores pull the one that matches. I don't see how it works for the v force.

Something is wrong.....it should not be "U" shaped. It should be flared at one end and up- swept at the other end.
