Probem with Vforce after flipping it..need help

Hi Guys, many of you old timers may recall I had an accident where I had to ditch my Vforce at about 60mph last fall to avoid hitting my daughter who popped out from behind a tree line (totally surprising me, I didn't even know she was out riding). I suffered a broken collar bone in addition to some ugly bruises, but am back and ready to ride again.
The Vforce was put in the barn and has sat there all winter. I got it out today to get it ready for the new riding season and find that it will not Idle sitting still in gear. When shifting it from neutral into either forward or reverse gear it grinds a little and lurches and dies. When I start it in gear it lurches forward a bit and still will not idle in gear. When the brake is applied to bring it to a full stop, it dies. It drives fine as long as I start it and just go, just as long as I don't come to a complete stop. I think it is something to do with the clutch or driveshaft.
The accident may have racked something I am thinking.
Can some kind soul give me an idea of what might be wrong my my bruised V?
Thanks guys,
Brewster

JMO .... but it sounds like the front clutch is "sticking". What you are describing is what happens if the idle is to high ... meaning that the clutch is starting to engauge. So, if it is not idling to fast ... then I would guess that the clutch slide parts , or flyweights, need to be cleaned. ???

I think Vforcer nailed your larching problem. You might want to drain both your carbs and put some fresh fuel in your tank. You might want to check your air cleaner also, its sounds like its been sitting for awhile and you might have a few unwanted guest in there. just a few thoughts.

Yeah what they said!
I would most deffinetly take off cluth cover and airbox....Check things out good..I once found a family of chipmonks inside a clutch cover....Nuts and all...

Thanks guys, I have already taken off the clutch cover and taken the clutch apart and reassembled plus cleaned out all the mice nests from the clutch and air cleaner as well. I guess my next move is to see if the idle is too fast as suggested earlier. Keep the ideas coming.......--Brewster
