Greetings,

I'm fixing to remove both fenders from my Prairie 650 so I can get in and do some cleaning
and servicing. Just glancing through the service manual and it instructs me to remove something
called "Quick Rivets". How exactly are these removed? I ask because I don't want to break anything
as its an eighty mile round trip to the dealer for parts. Thanks

Use a small screwdiver, and pry up the center section. Once its up, the whole thing pulls out.

 

I use nippers to get mine. Just don't squeeze to hard or you will be making that tripto the dealer.

 

I ended up buying about a dozen quick rivets at ronayers for about 38 cents each. These have come in handy as they tend to break/get mangled up pretty easy every time remove my front fenders.
