Default Wheel/Tire Help

I am selling 2 quads for a guy in my area that is punishing his son for some serious acts of stupidity. He is giving me a set of Carlise Swamp Pro tires on rims when they sell. They are from a 300 Honda and I was wondering if they will fit my 2002 Prarie or will I have to re-drill the holes in the rims?

why not swap the tires on to your P-700 rims? No drilling, bad idea.

Default Wheel/Tire Help

I modify wheels all the time... & it is much more difficult than you would think... the center hole changes size with the bolt pattern, & there are little tabs on the Kawi hubs, that support the quad, off of the center hole... if the hole is too small, you either need to drill / machine the center hole larger, or cut notches for the tabs to fit into... if the center hole is too big, you'll end up with not enough material between the center hole, & your new lug holes... coupling this with no support from the center hole & the tabs on the hub, is going to lead to wheel failure, & it will be at the worst time... I've been able to creatively fix these problems, but it is either costly ( if you have a machine shop do it ), or very time consuming... typically if I do it, it is to create a wheel that is not available... I.E. a 10" X 6" front wheel to fit the KAWI bolt pattern, to run MX type tires on my Prairie, for hare scramble racing ( the rears are easy, thanks to the V Force having the same bolt pattern, on the rear... But the fronts are more difficult, as the V Force doesn't have the 4 on 137 mm front bolt pattern, that the Prairie has )

I'd take TRX's advice, or order a new set of C series wheels ( or other inexpensive wheel ), & mount the Swamp Pro's on them ... are they all 12" wheels ??? I know some of the Honda's use a smaller rear wheel ( 11" I think )... if they are 11" on the rears, you may need to sell them as a package to a Honda owner, & buy different tires for your Prairie, as you won't be able to find an 11" rim with the 4 on 137mm bolt pattern...

if they are all 12" wheels, they are a hot item for some of the Honda guy's...

Guess I should have qualified that "bad idea" statement. If you have access to machine tools, knock yourself out!
