FOUND PILOT JETS FOR V-TWINS!!!
#1
Well sort of... ...there in JAPAN.
Had a lengthy phone call with Keihin customer service (nice people) they gave me the part number for the jet but they don't have any in stock. They recommended I call one of their distributors (Sudco) which I did. If they did not have any it would take some time to get them 30+ days because they are made in Japan.
Another lenghty conversation with Sudco's sale manager (again nice & helpful) but nothing in stock and have never had any in stock. I explained to him there was a lot of interest in obtaining these. He will look into finding some closer (on this continent) and I should call back late next week to check his progress. If not he will be ordering them from Japan for sure. He was very grateful for the heads up on the potential need for these, the first he'd heard of it.
Asked about recommendations for what to do until they are available he suggested running the fuel screws out but no more than 3 1/2 turns because the screws get loose and may fall out. Mine are at 3 1/2 and I will say anymore and they could fall out. I'm thinking I could possibly lock-tite them or fill the hole with silicone to hold them in if I go to 4 or more turns out.
I told him what they were for P650, AC650, P700 and V700's and stock was 40.
Here are the part numbers supplied by Keihin and Sudco concured:
N424-74-35
N424-74-38
N424-74-40 stock
N424-74-42
N424-74-45
As you can see there's only 2 sizes over stock so you radical boys maybe limited again.

Talked to them also but they didn't have any or even heard of them. Said it was a manufacturer item only.
I don't remember where but I have seen where you can purchase a complete jet kit for the P650 for $80, I wonder whats in it. I think it was Dynojet???

Don't buy Dynojet jets, from what I hear they suck for the V-Twin. Khein (spelling?) are great jets. I think this is what Alltoys said way back when.

I called Sudco a few weeks ago and they acted like there was no way i could get any different pilot jets. I am glad to hear that you got a little more info out of them. Hopefully it all works out and we can get these.

Did they say who makes them in Japan? My wife's side of the family is Japanese so I could find out where to buy them.
EasterEgg - Why are you going out on your turns? I am getting too much air with my 2" snorkel and have my air screws about 1 turn out and it runs somewhat better. At 3.5 turns I would be lucky to get it to run.

It pops back through the carbs from off idle to 1/4 throttle and turning the screws out makes it go away. 2 to 2 1/2 turns=bad 3 1/2 turns=better
They didn't say where in Japan I assumed from Keihin over there or Kawi.
