Default More NYROC muffler mod Q's

I am in the middle of the mod, end cut off holes drilled, and have a question. Where is the spark arrester? Living in MI it is a must and i want to leave it intact. I've read here that it's the perforated section in the end cap. But, last year at Silver Lake they used a long tighly coiled spring to test for spark arresters. They inserted it in the end of the pipe and if it stopped you passed. Using a flashlight I looked in the tube in the center of the pipe and can see a stop that some what resembles a fan blade, maybe 8-10 inches back. Is this the spark arrester? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

On my Muffler Mod I made a point not to drill hole in center of baffle. Have been checked several times by forest service passed every time, They use the spring also.

Super700- I checked that out before i started, thanx!

HSF- If that is the spark arrester how does it stop hot carbon sparks from leaving the pipe? There is no flow THROUGH that packing, so it can't "filter out" sparks. Not trying to start an argument, just tring to explore the issue more.

Never2high- Did you inlarge the outlet? I drilled 6-1/2" holes through the baffles, and am trying to decide if i want to enlarge the outlet. BTW Judging from your name we may have other common interests.

THANX FOR THE INFO GUYS!!!
