Default Need More Lighting!!! Do not want to drown!

I will be putting mine in tonite. Got busy last nite converting the trailer to LED lites. It doesn't look to hard to do, maybe 1/2 hr job. Very accessable when the bike is 3 feet up on a hoist.

Do you have a picture of the HID's mounted on your V? I was on Trailtechs webpage and couldnt find the handlebar mount for the V, so I was wondering how you mounted them. Thanks.

I added photos of the Trailtech lights to my profile. My profile is "pending approval" so it should be in there today sometime.

I finally got a chance this weekend to do some nite riding, doesn't get completely dark till 9:30 pm nowadays. The NAPA bulbs take the V's lighting from horrible to decent. I could still use more.

Mjohnson:

How much you pay for the trailTechs?. How much more light do they add over stock? is it worth the 300$??

I am also looking at the Lead Dog helmet light. It lights up where you look.

I think I paid 240 and it adds a lot more light. I figure if I hit something at night it will be more than that in pain or parts.

I went to Napa and they told me nobody ever orders those bulbs. He found them in Sacramento for $13.89 ea. I told him to forget it. (plus shipping)

They do make a big difference. Takes the V from not usable to ridable at nite. Ok you CAN use it,just don't go over 15 mph!. I can send you some. I think that the exact price was 4 buck CDN per bulb. ( that is about a buck US!) Shipping should be next to zero as they weight nothing.
