I'm haveing some noise from my transmission area. I can hear it real good when I have it shut off. I have it in low and I pull and push the atv and I can hear the noise very good. Almost like there is some play in the transmission. Is it normal? Any help would be good I'm just not sure if I should bring it in.

 

The play is normal. The sound is normal. You hear a "clack' sound when in low riding slow over rough stuff. You can also hear it doing what you are doing (engine off, roll it back and forth). Shouldn't really hear it going faster.

A ratchet sound (reapeated noise) is a mal adjuested shifter.

 

ok thanks I just wanted to make sure something wasn't wrong with it. Because my dad has a grizzly and his doesn't do that. At least not as loud.
