Default DG3 module-best bang for your buck!!!

Just installed the DG3 this weekend and it proves to be the best mod. yet. I always had a hard time pulling wheelies(because of the winch out front and lift kit) but since I installed the DG3 it will stand right up with good traction. You can feel it pull harder all the way through. The launch off the start is probably the most noticeable. Has everbody else have the same results with it?

How are you certain this is the best? Have you tried the Dyna?

Howdy cammoman,
I have had the DG3 on my quad for almost a week now and I am totally pleased and impressed with it. The Dyna may do the same thing or more. But thats OK because I dont need any more power than I have now. I can carry the front wheels in mid range just like low range. It runs cooler and starts easier too. I agree on the bang for the buck theory. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy,
the DG3 module is for the whole power band up to the redline. It seems to me like it has more bottom end punch than the Holeshot did. It definately will add power in mid and upper power ranges. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!

RedGoblin; I did'nt say it was the best out there. I simply stated I thought it was the best for what it cost. The DG3 is less than half the price of the Dyna CDI and is real close to the same performance except for the top end(according to other posts) So I think it is one of the best mods out there now for the money! I don't care about the top end speed where I ride so I went with the module. If you want more speed you'll have to dish out more money for the Dyna CDI. Just my thoughts.

Cueball89; Then module gives you more power in the low and mid range, and on the top, but the top end is not as dramatic. I rode for two hours last weekend and my cooling fan only came on once. Usually it runs about 25% of the time.

During the installation process the electrician I work with cut the two wires that you are supposed to add a wire to in order to read engine speed/rpm's? from. Then he spliced the new wires in and used a heat shrink sodderless butt connector to reattatch the wires.
Do you think this cutting the wire and going through a butt connector will hinder the performance of the quad/module?

I suggested we just wrap it around the two wires, but he said his way was better?

As far as performance goes- the quad took off better from the get-go, but I could only pull the wheel a little in high after the tires caught. In low they just peeled out - 26" mudrunners. Both of those runs were on asphault. In the grass/mud it just broke traction and boogied on down the trail. I could feel it pulling hard through the mid range, but I never thought it pulled weak in stock form either- so not sure about mid gains.
